My name is Teddi—a classically trained pianist based in the DMV area. Welcome to my official website, where you can learn more about what I do, hear some of my performances, and see what I’m currently up to! 

​I grew up in Potomac, MD, and for much of my childhood I dreamed of majoring in violin performance in college. That dream shifted after a 7-minute solo with my orchestra left me paralyzed by performance anxiety—my bow arm shaking uncontrollably as I worried about others’ opinions. Still, I knew I wanted to pursue music in college, so I returned to my very first instrument: the piano.

At first, I thought switching instruments would ease my anxiety. To my surprise, nothing changed because I was still chasing for people’s approval. But by God's grace, He revealed to me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. By trying to live up to the world’s standards, I was rejecting His design for me and relying on my own abilities instead of fully trusting in Him.

​When COVID hit during my freshman year, I briefly lost hope in my musical path. With concerts and performances canceled or on hold, I even considered pivoting into tech. But God had other plans. He led me back home to Maryland to pursue a Master’s in collaborative piano, where I discovered the true purpose of this musical gift: to glorify Him.

Today, it is my goal to approach every performance and collaboration with a serving heart for His people. I am beyond blessed to share music with others, to learn their stories, and to walk alongside them in their musical journeys.
