Passionate about making meaningful musical experiences with others.
Teddi Yoo is a Korean-American collaborative pianist based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. She has been a prizewinner in numerous competitions, which led to her performance debut at Carnegie Hall in New York City. She was also the recipient of the Certificate of Merit for Excellence in the Arts, presented by the National Society of Arts and Letters Washington, D.C. Chapter at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

This past summer, Teddi was a collaborative piano fellow at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, where she studied with Jonathan Feldman, Margaret McDonald, and Natasha Kislenko. During her time there, she was named a finalist in the prestigious Duo Competition. In the summer of 2024, she attended the Bowdoin International Music Festival, where she participated in the collaborative piano program under the instruction of Dr. Pei-Shan Lee. She also attended the Atlantic Music Festival, where she worked with Logan Skelton, Natalya Antonova, Sean Duggan, and Hitomi Koyama.​


Teddi graduated from Rice University with Bachelor’s degrees in Piano Performance, under the instruction of Professor Jeanne Kierman Fischer, and Psychology, receiving the Distinction in Research and Creative Work Award. While at Rice, she was invited by the Dean to represent the Shepherd School of Music in a university-wide fundraising event with a performance at the newly built Morrison Theatre. She was frequently sought after for collaborative piano engagements, including the Chamber Music Houston concert reception and the Shepherd School’s annual Spirit of the Season event.

She recently earned her Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she studied with Professor Rita Sloan and graduated with highest marks.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Teddi is passionate about user-centered digital design. She serves as the User Experience Designer and Administrative Director of Communications for the Back to BACH Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring young people through music and arts education.
